What's a Bunny Goat?

I'm a professional administrator at a college, a mother of two incredible children, the luckiest wife on the planet (wait until you see my closet and my craft room!), a scrapbooker, a novelist (in training), a teacher, and a mom to a dog and two cats. I love Pearl Jam, Anne Tyler, "Young Goodman Brown," the color pink, and any strand of pearls that has ever been strung. I'm a former ballerina, now on a perpetual diet, but it's been almost a year since I quit smoking. Yay me! Now . . . to tackle those thirty pounds.

A habit a week

The new year didn't start off so well, but I don't intend to be sitting here next year lamenting everything I didn't get done or how I don't want to shop at the Dillard's 50% off sale on New Year's Day because I haven't lost any weight. To that end, here are my 52 new habits I intend to establish during 2012. I'll begin each week with a new habit while maintaining the previous habits. By the end of the year, I should love myself sufficiently.

1. take vitamin D and calcium, plus a baby aspirin each day
2. stop eating when you are full, and know you can eat more later
3. drink at least one bottle of water a day
4. moisturize my face every night
5. floss my teeth every night before brushing
6. apply lotion after shower and bath
7. carry hand lotion and apply after every hand washing
8. choose an outfit for work before bed
9. evaluate purse, shoes, and jewelry for outfit
10. moisturize hair with Burt's Bees avocado
11. make an appointment for manicure and pedicure
12. purge three articles of clothing or accessories
